NOW RELEASED · EDINBURGH
The Grange, on a street of villas.
Five detached villas on Hope Terrace, built in stone to the proportions of the Victorian houses on either side of them.

A gap in the terrace, filled at the right scale.
The Grange was laid out in the 1860s as detached villas in walled gardens, and Hope Terrace is the best preserved run of them.
Our plot had been a nursery, then a car park, then nothing. Five villas put the street back to the rhythm the conservation area was designated to protect.
Craigleith stone, and the same bay as next door.
Blonde sandstone, slate roofs, timber sash and case windows and cast iron rainwater goods, with the bay windows set at the height the neighbours set them.
The villas run from 3,400 to 4,600 square feet over three floors, each in a walled garden with parking behind.

Two reserved before release.
Both went to buyers already living in The Grange who wanted to stay on the same streets without taking on a restoration.

- George Watson's and Napier University within a mile
- Princes Street in about twenty minutes on foot
